System

This is a high-frequency RFID ear tag reader with a built-in battery system.
High-frequency RFID electronic ear tags (tags).
LMI software application (available for both Android and Apple devices).
The application can be downloaded free of charge, and there are no annual license fees.

Process

Each animal is individually tagged.
The animal’s identification number and the electronic RFID ear tag can be linked within the software application.
The reader communicates with the Android or Apple phone or tablet via Bluetooth.
The reader can be used together with the LMI Bluetooth scale when animals are being weighed, or independently as a counting device.
The reader must remain connected to the Android or Apple phone/tablet at all times.
The reader can be strategically positioned in a camp or paddock to ensure that all animals are counted, or for example, placed at a gate through which the animals pass.
The reader can read tags from a distance of up to 10 metres.
The report counts and displays only unique tag numbers, ensuring that no duplicate counts can occur.
The counting report in the application displays the group name, the total number of animals counted, and the identification number of each individual animal.
